HR Excellence Awards

Are you part of a winning team?

Pride in where they work is one of the main factors influencing employee engagement. So help your employees feel part of a winning team by entering the HR Excellence Awards 2008. Getting recognition as an HR Excellence award winner gives you an edge over competitors and boosts your organisation's profile, as well as giving you a positive message to communicate to existing and potential employees.

Since their launch in 1995 the awards have established themselves as one of the key events for our profession. At Human Resources we are proud to be involved in something making such a positive statement about the great work those in the profession have been doing during the past 12 months.
The awards are focused on vital areas, such as recruitment and retention, talent management, benefits and learning and development. This year we have added a category to recognise the upcoming stars of HR - the One to Watch - and I encourage all HR directors to nominate someone from their team. And, of course, we will announce the HR director of the year and HR Gold .

Last year's HR director of the year, Angela O'Connor, chief people office at NPIA, says: "Knowing that the votes of readers of HR magazine led to this award has made it the one I am most proud of. In the HR profession we share the same experiences, the good days and the bad, the successes and the failures. I am really proud to be part of this community and wish this year's candidates for the awards the best of luck."

The awards night, on 7 July 2008 at the Hilton in Park Lane, will be a great networking occasion and is not to be missed. So show us that you are the best and I look forward to seeing you in July.
