AV Awards

The 2009 AV Awards reflect an industry going through continuing and dramatic change.Whether it’s the economic conditions, remarkable innovation, new technology or new uses, the AV Awards must act as a mirror on success.

With that in mind, we have chosen to launch the 2009 AV Awards by making some radical changes to the awards categories. Awards for UK companies and successful projects continue. But in order to make the awards process simpler to enter and more manageable, other categories have changed. The changes should make the ceremony a more understandable celebration, when the winners receive their awards on Friday October 9.

A real effort has been made to make the AV Awards truly reflective of the industry today. Categories have been split into four important groupings:

• Product Innovation
• Manufacturer
• Project
• Company

In addition to the category awards, there will be a special award for AV industry personality of the year and an overall Grand Prix. Some things, however, will not change. We are determined to make sure that the AV Awards are as independently judged as ever to ensure that winning an AV award is a real achievement, both now and in the future.

To that end, winners will be entitled to display a formal certification on all their promotional material, which will remain effective for three years from the date of winning. This years winners will represent the best of the best.

We're looking forward to seeing the entries.
