Marketing Society Awards for Excellence 2008 in association with Marketing supported by Accenture

Closing date 15th February 2008

Entry criteria
The Marketing Society Awards for Excellence categories are designed to reflect a range of marketing activities that are common to companies and organisations operating in all areas and of all sizes.

In addition to the category criteria listed below, the judges will expect to see evidence presented as hard commercial data. Entrants should provide independent and robust data that supports the claims made.

Key measures include sales, profits, market share and customers' attitudes. The judges will give more weight to quantitative and comparable trend data over time, and versus competitors.

All material will remain confidential to the judges. Winning case studies will be published in Marketing, and will be online on the Marketing Society's website (www.marketing-society.org.uk). Entrants have the right to mark financial information or sensitive parts of their entry as 'Not for Publication'. This will be respected in all instances by the organisers.

As well as your 2000-word paper with illustration you will be required to submit an executive summary of 300 words. You will be asked to summarise the following points:
• Objective
• Scale of the task
• Key results
• What would not have happened had this activity not taken place
• What distinguishes this activity as exceptional
