Garden Retail Awards 2012
How to enter
Garden retailers and their suppliers are welcome to enter the Awards for what they have achieved between 1 January 2007 and 15 July 2008. Entries will be judged by a panel of expert judges in September. Shortlisted entries will be announced in September.
To enter you will need to:
- Download an entry kit from the link at the bottom of this page
- Fill in the entry form
- Provide ten copies of your entry summary (see ‘how to write your entry summary’ below) outlining the nature of your achievement and the reasons why you should be considered for an Award
- Provide six good quality photographs (min 300 dpi and min 20 cm wide) or other pictorial evidence of your work
- Provide one copy of other relevant supporting material – financial data, testimonials, brochures etc
- Include your payment for the entry (see entry fee information)
- Free entry to HTA members
- Send in your entry by the closing date: Thursday 31 July 2008
How to write your entry summary
The entry summary is your opportunity to explain what it is that you have achieved. Your summary, which should be no more than 600 words, should include the following:
1 What your goals were
2 What you did to achieve those goals
3 What you achieved (ie the results of your work, project or enterprise)
- Project-based awards should highlight the elements of the project which you believe are outstanding – together with the budget for the project and timescale.
- Business-based awards should highlight what goals you set and how you achieved them, including sales figures and outstanding features of the business area.
- For all other categories your description of what you achieved should highlight both particular successes within the eligibility period as well as qualities possessed by the service, team, operation or individual which you believe are outstanding.
NB: All business categories should include data illustrating the financial soundness of the company where applicable
