PRWeek Awards 2008
PRWeek Awards 2008 - how to enter
Who can enter
The awards are open to PR consultancies and in-house departments and the individuals who work within them. Outside contractors and non-PR professionals may also enter certain categories where indicated. All work entered into the categories must be either carried out in the UK or where involving work overseas, initiated, co-ordinated and evaluated by a UK office or UK based staff (except for work entered into the International Consultancy of the Year). Where both an in-house department and their consultancy enter the same project into a category, the two entries will be treated as a joint entry for the purposes of judging. Because both entries will have to be processed before a decision about joint entry can be made, any duplicated entry fee will be forfeited.
Companies or individuals may submit entries on behalf of themselves or others and may enter any number of categories, but no single campaign may be entered into more than three categories.
International work by UK consultancies or in-house departments can be included in any relevant category.
Eligibility
Except where indicated, submissions should relate to the period between 22 May 2007 and 21 May 2008. Please note that entries which have been submitted for the 2007 PRWeek Awards cannot be submitted in 2008. The organisers reserve the right to retain entries for subsequent publication in connection with the Awards. Descriptions of submissions from winners and runners-up will be published in connection with the Awards. Entrants may mark certain sensitive parts of their entry 'not for publication' (such as exact budget figures etc.), provided such restrictions are not used unreasonably.

Support material
To support your written entry, where relevant, you are allowed to upload back-up material produced for the project and/or 4 images of 300dpi. Please note there is a 5MB limit on the website per entry.
The judging will take place in 2 stages. In the first one, which takes place in late June / early July, the judges will select entries to go through to the next stage of judging.
If you are selected to go through to the next stage we will ask you to send in support material that should show evidence of the success of your work: we will contact you and give you enough time to submit it.
Support material for shortlisted entries
It may vary depending on the category but can be any of the following: branded media coverage, photographs, attitudinal research, media evaluation, sales figures, detail market share, share price movement etc. In the case of internal audiences consider staff retention rates and productivity analysis. Internet coverage is now an integral part of the PR process and can be submitted as part of your support material for all categories. Please ensure that you submit the relevant URL and any necessary passwords to allow access to a site. All electronic work must be compatible for PC; this is also relevant to all CDRom work.
VHS videos, Mpeg files and DVD's may also be submitted to support an entry in any category. Please note that the judges will only have the opportunity to watch approximately 45 seconds of each video/DVD so ensure that the work submitted is relevant and concise. Please note we will not accept beta, video 8 or U-matics.
The above list is only suggested support material; if you are shortlisted you are able to send whatever you feel is appropriate for your entry, as long as it is relevant. Please do not send reams of press releases or other promotional work if they are all the same. It is better to be targeted than copious. All material must be clearly labelled and in the case of press cuttings must be to A4 size. Please note that all supporting material must be contained within a single A4 box file. Please do not send original work. If an entry is entered into more than one category, please indicate this clearly on the support material box, only one box of support material needs to be sent in this instance.
Any delivery of supporting material should be marked as follows:
