The Third Sector Excellence Awards 2012

Who should enter?
Entry is open to all voluntary organisations based in the UK – registered charities, non-profit organisations, social enterprises and campaigning groups. For the purposes of this entry form the word ‘organisation’ has been used to designate all these different bodies. Agencies and consultancies may enter on behalf of voluntary organisations they work with.

Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated, work completed during the period from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008 is eligible to enter. Sponsor companies are not allowed to enter the category they have agreed to sponsor.

Cost of entry
Charities and non-profit organisations will not be charged a fee for entering. If you have any queries, please contact Steven Lewis on 020 8267 4042. The fee per entry for agencies and commercial organisations is £50 plus VAT.

Closing date
The closing date for entries is now Thursday 31 July 2008. Please note that entries will not be returned after judging.

You may enter as many categories as you like and you may enter a project in more than one category. Please play special attention to the following instructions. Failure to follow them will put your entry at a disadvantage.

Each entry should include:

Five copies of a completed entry form
You must complete a separate entry form for each entry. If you wish to submit multiple entries, you may make photocopies of the entry form at the back or reproduce it on your own word processor, but please adhere to the same layout. You can download the form at the bottom of this page

• Five copies of a statement answering the questions specific to the category you are entering
The statement should be clear and legible, must not exceed 1,000 words and should be divided into sections headed by the questions asked in the relevant category description.

• Any relevant supporting material, such as copies of your annual report, campaign materials, press cuttings etc
Unless otherwise indicated, send only one copy of supporting material

Tips
The judges will be looking for examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success. Each submission must indicate clearly to the judges the nature and degree of difficulty of the challenge faced. Strategies and campaigns will be judged on outcomes and achievements rather than the strength of the plan or campaigning materials. Successful entries will be specific and economical with words.
